Suzanne Rosnowski – CEO & Founder
Suzanne founded Relevance New York in 2012, and it has already become one of the fastest growing and highly acclaimed public relations and brand-building firms in New York. Named by PR News as one of the “Top 15 To Watch” nationally, Suzanne is a strategic and creative force, industry connector and influencer.

At Relevance New York, she directs the big picture and creative public relations strategy for the firm’s various accounts. She is a trusted advisor with over 15 years experience, who has handled crisis communications for some of the most challenging situations and some of the most prominent names in the industry. She has advised some of the biggest names in lifestyle brands, including real estate, hospitality and luxury goods. Her innovative campaigns have directly led to increases in clients’ business, top-tier media features and first-of-their-kind, award-winning strategic partnerships.

Formerly a partner and owner at Quinn, Suzanne helped run and grow the firm and oversaw the real estate division for a decade. Suzanne has been recognized by Bulldog Reporter with a “Gold Award for Excellence in Public Relations and Publicity” for the “Best Company Positioning/Branding.” Her partnerships and creative ideas have put clients on the map, generated social media wildfires and produced the highest level of press coverage.

Suzanne is a highly sought-after speaker. Most recently, Suzanne has been tapped to speak at the Wharton School of Business on Women Entrepreneurship. She has served on the advisory board and is a frequent speaker at the Real Estate Weekly Women’s Forum. She is also tapped to speak frequently to the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY); REMarTech (Real Estate Marketing and Technology Academy); Certified Real Estate Advisors at the esteemed Touro Grad School of Business; and Greenpearl’s Annual Real Estate Expo. Real Estate Weekly named her one of the “Top 25 Rising Stars to Watch” early in her career.

Suzanne is world traveler, passionate about delivering global press results, and practicing international consulting. She conducted PR for a program of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Washington, D.C. where she helped produce press results for government officials in the U.S. and Asia. She also worked at GYMR, a healthcare PR firm in Washington D.C., where she worked on large-scale awareness campaigns to affect change. Suzanne began her career at Laykin Communications in Hong Kong, China. Suzanne graduated from the EW Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. Through her activity in the Global Leadership Center, where she remains on the Board, she became a specialist in international business. Suzanne resides with her husband Rob and their three children, Alex, Kate and Cara.

Kari Neering – Director
A real estate specialist with nearly 15 years of experience in both commercial and residential public relations, Kari Neering joined Relevance New York as an account manager. She was promoted to director in 2015, and is responsible for the execution of all public relations practices within her team including brand building and media relations. With a background in both agency and corporate public relations, Kari and her team handle a wide range of luxury residential developments, brokerages, master planned projects and more. Notable current and past clients include leading luxury auction firm Concierge Auctions, new development condominium project 111 Murray, global architecture firm Perkins+Will’s New York office, and Art Deco condominium conversion masterpieces Walker Tower and Stella Tower.

Prior to joining Relevance, Kari was vice president at Rubenstein Public Relations, where she worked with an array of industry leaders including J. Christopher Burch, co-founder of Tory Burch LLC. Kari is the former director of public relations at Massey Knakal Realty Services, a diversified, full-service property sales company now owned by Cushman & Wakefield, where she worked under the leadership of Chairman and Co-founder Robert Knakal. She was also an account executive at the boutique public relations firm in Houston, TX, and started her career as a newspaper reporter with The Journal News, a daily newspaper in the suburbs north of New York City.

Born and raised in Michigan, Kari earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Michigan State University. She spent a summer abroad studying in Australia writing environmental journalism pieces for several publications throughout the country, and has happily traveled the world ever since.

Mitch Breindel – Director
An industry veteran with more than 27 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate, Mitch Breindel joined Relevance New York as a director in 2017, where he and his team represent developers, brokerages and projects that are dramatically impacting the New York City landscape.

Mitch previously held roles as director of marketing and communications at commercial real estate firms Jones Lang LaSalle, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank and DTZ Rockwood. His experience includes supporting a wide range of service lines including investment sales, financial services, leasing and property management, and all property types including residential, office, retail, hospitality and industrial.

Noteworthy assignments have included the rebranding of DTZ Rockwood following the global corporate merger of DTZ and Rockwood Realty Associates, and Avison Young’s expansion in the Tri-State region. While at Jones Lang LaSalle, he provided marketing support for the sale of the Chrysler Building, as well as The Rhinelander Mansion, Ralph Lauren’s flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York City. His clients have included The Mark Company, one of the nation’s premier residential sales and marketing firms, and Witkoff, a global real estate development and investment firm headquartered in New York City. He has represented projects in markets throughout the country including New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta and Miami, among others.

Prior to joining Relevance, Mitch was a vice president at Rubenstein Public Relations, where he was responsible for supervising client accounts, developing strategic public relations programs, managing media relations, writing press releases, corporate branding, proactive story placement and crisis communications.

A lifelong New Yorker, Mitch received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Hunter College. He lives on New York’s Upper West Side, and enjoys running in Central Park. He is fluent in French, and has traveled with his family throughout the world.

Karen Bookatz – Director
Karen Bookatz is a dynamic public relations and marketing specialist with 10+ years of experience. With significant expertise in the real estate, architecture/design, art and tech spaces, Karen excels at the development of strategic public relations campaigns that are aligned with business growth goals. Karen is responsible for the execution of all public relations practices within her team for a wide range of design and development clients, including Tamarkin Co., The Getty, Victor Group, Taconic, Bernstein Real Estate, Greystone Co., Spector Group and Arthur Becker Studio.

Prior to joining Relevance New York, Karen was a public relations and marketing communications consultant specializing in shifting or scaling businesses. Selected clients include: Thom Mayne, Matiz Architecture & Design, Manifold Architecture Studio, RAB Lighting, ADP, Meural and Qapital. Previously, Karen was head of communications at FXFOWLE Architects in New York, and before that, she oversaw global communications and marketing at Enrique Norten/TEN Arquitectos — both at the company headquarters in Mexico City and sister office in New York.

Karen earned her bachelor of arts in Art History and European History from the University of Pennsylvania and her master of arts in Art History and Architectural History from Columbia University. She is a former arts and design journalist and has been published in a wide variety of media outlets, including but not limited to Art in America, Architectural Record, New York Magazine, Interview, Paper and Whitewall.
